Graduate Student Advisory Board
Next Scheduled Meeting:
Jan. 12, 2-3pm, in the Graduate Student Lounge
Graduate Student Advisory Board (GSAB) is a graduate-student led committee in the Department of English at Ball State University. Our purpose is to provide assistance to graduate students within our department, as well as organize department events and activities. All English Graduate students are members of and can be participants in GSAB. Here are just some of the things we do: Provide financial assistance for students presenting at conferences, run fundraisers, such as book sales and marathon reading events, organize professional development events to help graduate students who wish to present at conferences, prepare their curricula vitae, and many other topics, host the "Friday Forum," an opportunity for faculty and graduate students to share ongoing scholarly projects, put on social events to encourage and enhance a cohesive community within the English Department, and hold regular meetings that can be a forum for student concerns.
