Travel Grants
GSAB invites all English Department graduate students to apply for a travel grant to help defray the cost of travel to an academic conference. Each graduate student is eligible to apply for one (1) travel grant per academic year. Preferences will be given to students who are presenting a paper at a conference. The standard travel grant amount is $100. GSAB considers special circumstances for travel funds requiring more or less funding; funds will be distributed as such.
Directions: Download, print, and fill out the Travel Grand Application. See below. Submit your application to the English Department Secretary, asking her to place it in the GSAB Mailbox.
GSAB votes on each travel fund application at the next scheduled meeting following the date of submission.
If your application is approved, the GSAB Treasurer will notify you and submit your application to the department for disbursal of funds.
If your application is denied, your application will be returned citing the reasons for the rejection on the second page.
